FOREIGN SUBPOENA DOMESTICATION AND SERVICE: This form may be used for standard foreign subpoena domestication and service in Maryland or Washington, D.C.
WHAT IS INCLUDED: The standard flat fee includes administrative document review, preparation of the standard local filing package, the standard court filing fee, filing with the appropriate court, routine issuance follow up, pickup or receipt of the issued subpoena, rush service of process, applicable proof of service preparation, filing when included and available, status updates, and electronic copies of completed documents.
MARYLAND: Complete Maryland Court Form CC-084 before submitting your order and upload it with the foreign subpoena and all attachments.
WASHINGTON, D.C.: Upload the originating subpoena, all attachments, complete party information, recipient information, and all information needed for the local filing. Any required affirmation or declaration must be signed by the appropriate person.
PRINTING: There is no printing charge for a document set of 50 pages or fewer. If the document set exceeds 50 pages, printing is charged at $0.20 per page for the entire document set. Applicable printing charges must be paid before the applicable filing or service is completed.
SERVICE SCOPE: The standard flat fee applies to routine uncontested administrative domestication and service only.
ADDITIONAL FEES: Witness fees, mileage tender, custodian fees, extraordinary printing or exhibit organization, additional recipients, additional addresses, refiling caused by incorrect or changed information supplied by you, motions, hearings, objections, enforcement proceedings, legal representation, and unusual court requirements are not included and require additional payment. Matters requiring materially greater administrative handling may require a Special Circumstances fee of $50 for Level 1 or $100 for Level 2.
LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY: Freestate Investigations cannot provide legal advice or determine whether the subpoena, requested discovery, jurisdiction, or procedure is legally appropriate for your case. If you are unsure what is required, consult the issuing court, receiving court, a court self help resource, or an attorney before ordering.
PAYMENT, RESULTS AND CANCELLATION: Payment is not contingent upon court issuance, successful service, compliance, production of records, or any particular legal outcome. If an order is cancelled before filing preparation begins, a $50 cancellation and administrative fee applies. Once filing preparation, court processing, or other substantive work begins, the applicable service fee is earned and nonrefundable.
ORDER AND PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION: By completing and submitting this order and providing payment information, you acknowledge the service selected, the amount charged, the service scope, cancellation and refund terms stated above, and Freestate Investigations' Terms of Service. You authorize Freestate Investigations to charge the payment method provided for the service selected. Any later additional charges requiring approval will be separately communicated before being charged.
